Cool is being kind (speaking of the weather, not the chick!!). It was actually down right cold! Who would have thought that we’d have snow for Halloween? The kiddos got the thrill of trick or treating in the snow, ice and wind!
Speaking of trick or treating, when is the age cut off? I mean, I know there really isn’t a rule, but I wonder what the average age is when they become too cool, lol! I was in the minority because I went door to door when I was 20, no shame. My friends thought I was a bit nuts, but I talked them through it and we had a great time. I think many of the candy distributors were shocked, but they all seemed to get a kick out of it and happily handed over the goods. My 15 year old this year was on the fence about going. I tempted her with an endless list of delicious treats that she would miss out on if she skipped. She went, dressed in my hubbies race suit, begrudgingly. After about 10 houses she was out. I’m still happy she went. The rest of the time that her two younger sisters were raking in the sweets, she was sitting in the warm car with me, drinking ice coffee and belting out Lady Gaga songs. Times like this are few and far between, so I ate too much chocolate and enjoyed her off tune singing:)
Back to the cool chick! So, I’ve said this before, but the eye makeup!! What?! She slayed it! We had fun, slightly froze, played in the leaves, admired the gigantic ones (see photo below…that thing is HUGE!). It was a good session and she was thrilled with her gallery, which makes me incredibly happy! It’s so depressing that senior sessions are almost over for this season. I will miss them during the quiet months. I do have a few brave ones that want snow sessions, so that will be bbrrrrFUNbrrrrrrr.
